Clinical Supervision
The School of Caring Sciences (SCS) Clinic is dedicated to empowering mental health professionals by providing clinical supervision in both individual and group settings. These services are designed to support trainees, those in registrar programs, and experienced practitioners. The SCS Psychology Clinic remains committed to fostering professional growth through tailored supervision programs for students, trainees, and clinicians at all stages of their careers.
Clinical Supervision?
Clinical Supervision offers a space for clinicians, psychology and counselling students to discuss the cases they are currently managing, providing an opportunity for reflection and skill development. This process is invaluable for enhancing areas such as case conceptualisation, ethical decision-making, therapy implementation, and reflective practice.
Through supervision, clinicians and students can evaluate their cases, gain insights, and receive feedback in a supportive and collaborative environment. Regular supervision is crucial for meeting professional registration requirements and ensuring that clinicians are on track with their consumer work.
Additionally, clinical work can be emotionally demanding. Having a supportive supervisor plays a key role in fostering resilience and promoting the well-being of the clinician, ensuring they remain healthy and effective in their practice.
